We offer you the help to translate your colour from one specific notation to the nearest matching notation in another system. Translation offered between NCS and Pantone, RAL, SABS, British Standard, Corporate Standards, Gas Standards, Austrialian Standards etc.

We translate to and from most colour systems/ charts including:

  • NCS
  • *Pantone Coated or Uncoated (Formula Guide or Colour Bridge)
  • RAL Classic

*Please note that if you need to translate you colour from NCS to RGB or Lab, you can also use NCS Colour readers.

The translation is performed visually by a colour expert in the NCS Colour Lab.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As a customer, it is important to be aware that an exact translation is difficult to obtain. This is due to the fact that most colour systems are different from one another and can vary in for example; the number of colours included, gloss or effect colour. We translate to the visually closest notation of the requested colour system. Normal colour vision and the ability to see small colour differences is a fundamental ability for personnel involved in colour control.

 

SERVICE INCLUDES

The service is delivered in a colour definition report sent to you by email and includes the original notation, nearest matching notation in requested system and a comment if the colour deviation is
considered notable.

Normal delivery time is 2-3 days from received order.

Viewing conditions for the visual assessment are in close agreement with ISO 3668:1998

 

  • Diffuse illumination
  • Illumination type: D65
  • Illumination level 1000-4000 lx
  • Illumination angle: normal to the sample
  • Viewing angle: 45 degree from the sample normal
  • Viewing distance 0.4-0.5 m
  • Medium grey interior of viewing booth
